Winnie is a beautiful, giddy 1 year old Lab who is looking for a new home.
Initially, reluctant to engage in training, Winnie has shown a positive and biddable attitude. Her recall is improving as is her lead walking. We have discovered however, that Winnie does not do well in confined spaces. She can become vocal and destructive if left too long. This is probably a reaction to a previous situation that she has encountered, however it is something that can be managed effectively with the correct approach. As with many dogs, anything out of the ordinary can unsettle her. Positive, gradual introductions to new and strange situations will help to build Winnie's confidence.
We are hoping that someone with experience and commitment would be interested in taking Winnie on and working to nurture this young girl, givning her the opportunity to develop her natural behaviours and drives. She, in turn, will reward them with boundless affection and loyalty.
Winnie is very people friendly, knows basic commands and has lived with cats.
She is up to date with vaccinations. Not spayed due to age.
Winnie will be re-homed on a neutering contract and the new owner will need to take her to our vet for this procedure. Winnie has been regularly flea & worm treated. PAWS will offer support and advice to anyone who thinks they have what it takes to provide the right home for this lovely girl, and give
Winnie the life that she deserves
Winnie will be Vaccinated, Microchipped, Flea/Tick/Worm treated.
