Overcoming obstacles
Shadow is such an amazing girl - no matter what she’s happy vocal in a good way and suits her name as she is Mandy's shadow when she's with her. Shadow has a further development with regards to her health in that she has early onset CMRM (Canine Degenerative Radiculomyelopathy), a progressive neurological disease that causes weakness and paralysis in the back legs. This often leads to incontinence. Shadow is not letting this hold her back and is now looking to go on outings with the aid of a buggy which Mandy and Steve had for their previous dogs. This will allow them to take Ella out for longer walks and Shadow can do what she can manage and then rest in the buggy whilst still enjoying being out and about. We will continue to report on Shadow and look forward to sharing the next instalment with you soon, courtesy of Steve and Mandy.

Ella is young and full of fun. She does stay close to Shadow as if she understands. There is always time for mischief though. Here is Ella trying to get the last bits out of a food bag!

Shadow will still be able to get out and about with Mandy, Steve and Ella as her condition progresses. She seems to approve anyway !

For now, Shadow is still able to stroll around the farm and bathe in the Spring sunshine, watching her young friend's antics. Shadow could not be in a better place. This is the kind of life she always deserved.
